Google's New Security Tools

Google has recently upgraded their email and web-surfing security against phishing and malware. When opening gmail, there is now an option the enable these new safety measures to protect your account from scams.

The safe browsing option, used for web-surfing, uses AI to protect you. It identifies unsafe sites and files and alerts you when there is a sign of danger. According to google, it has been successful in blocking 25% more phishing attempts per month.

However, BYU still asks students and staff alike to use their BYU email, which can be accessed using netID@byu.edu
